Hi all!
So, my question:
I have a random domain from internet "@domain.com" . When i send mail to this domain, IronPort starts to resolve it and get IP address 1.2.3.4.
Now, I want to STOP resolving this domain. I add "@domain.com" to Exception Table as Reject. But when i try to send mail, it resolves again. I know that I do something wrong....
So, what must I configure to stop resolving domains i need in IronPort?
Thanks!
When sending emails to a domain, the ESA would perform a MX and A record lookup for the domain at the time of delivery.
To bypass DNS lookups at the time of delivery, you can add the domain under Network -> SMTP Routes if you wish to deliver all those emails to a particular IP or set it to /dev/null if those emails should be dropped.

Libin
