ESA 100V receive emails from a customer from Russian with "??????" characters (problem with encoding)

Hello,

Recently we deployed a Cisco ESA 100V as mail relay.

The problem we have is that a client receive email from an Russian Customer with ???????????????????? characters.

To the message tracking i don't see any action that could be cause the problem.

With previous mail relay we had, we received emails correctly abou the encoding.

Have you any idea about that?

Hello csco12569304,

Can you confirm the version of AsyncOS you're using?
I've not had too much issues with encoding from Russian emails prior to be seen on subject and body contents etc and also viewable on message tracking.
