Hello

How dose virtual gateways works in a ESA Cluster?  Can you use one gateway att cluser level  and it applies to both machines?

Or do you need to have one gate and Ip per unit?

Regards

Hi Andreas,

Esa Virtual gateways are VM or KVM software images and clustering is working on the application level.

You can set them up at cluster level beside the usual machine specific settings like IP, gateways etc.

On a personal node there seems to be an untold limit of about 8 virtual esa's in a cluster. We experience huge delays/lags when maintaining message and content filters and policies once we add more devices.

I hope that helps

Marc

Virtual gateways are basically multiple sending ip addresses per ESA.

I think that you would set those up on each box with the same VG name and the the map od which domain goes out which VG would get replicated by the cluster... I couldnt find definitive docs.
