ESAv license / smart licensing

Hi,

We are on the way to install new ESAv to replace old one (with classic license).

If we use Smart Licensing to manage our licenses, will the ESA be able to retrieve the subscriptions each year automatically?

As of today (without SmartLicensing), each year before subscriptions expire, we need to regenerate a license file with the VLN. 

With SmartLicensing, will this be "automatic" without the need to "loadlicense" on the ESAv?

2 things we need to keep in mind,

Once we move from PAK to SmartLicense you can not go back as i know.

yes as per your Orginal question if the device connected to smart License everything will be downloaded automatically

I believe the answer is yes... but you have to do the dance in the licensing portal instead, and then it just picks it up.
At least that's how its SUPPOSED to work.

Dont worry eventually you learn that dance, once you start moving your steps towards that way.,
