Memory upgrade for ESA C370

Hi Team,

We have customer using ESA C370 for email security and currently have 2 GB RAM installed, need your advice how to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB. Let me know how can we order the upgrade kit and the necessary part code for the same.

Memory Upgrade Kits for x70 Customers with 4 GB RAM

C370, C670, x1070, and S370 appliances manufactured prior to December 2012 were configured with 4 GB RAM. Customers that run these appliances and look to operate 64-bit OS software images (8.0.x or later) might experience performance delays under certain configurations and traffic loads. A field upgradeable memory kit is available for these appliances in order to increase the memory to 8 GB RAM. Account teams will contact customers with the affected hardware and will provide these memory kits at no cost. For questions on this upgrade, contact x70_mem_upgrade@cisco.com.

Hi Karsten,

While I have seen the field notice the customer has mentioned that they are having 2GB RAM and want to increase to 8GB. In case we want to get the addiitonal RAM is there a part code to be ordered through our GPL (CCW estimate) not able to locate the same.

Just for everyone looking for upgrading the RAM for x70 series appliances, here is the way to go:

Cisco AMs can request the memory kits on behalf of their customer using this form ( Cisco Internal Link):

When filling the order form , please note the  following:

• Serial number will be the device number
• Upgrade Order Reference number will be the original sales Order no
• TAC reference number is optional
• SKU to be ordered “CCS-MEM-2GB=”
• 1 kit will upgrade one device
