Per-User Filtering from Exchange to IronPort?

Regarding configuring an Excahnge Send Connector to route outbound messages to IronPort:

Is it possible to configure an Exchange Send Connector such that only messages initiated by certain Exchange users (say an AD Users Group) are routed to IronPort and the rest go out directly, bypassing IronPort?

I have seen ability for connector filtering based on recipient domains, but I was hoping I can find a way to do so based on sender names.

I went digging on my Exchange 2010 install, and as far as I can tell, no, there's no way to pick the outbound smarthost based on user that I can find...

Thanks for checking Ken. I did some more searching too and couldn't find any such feature in Exchange.

In case anyone else is interested, it appears that Microsoft has dropped the support for an earlier feature in Exchange 2003 and what is called "Sender Based Routing" is no longer supported. But there are few 3'rd party and open source transport agents components for Exchange in the market that can perform exactly what I need. Here are few examples:
