Hello,

I want to upgrade Cisco SMA from version 13.6.2-058 to version 14.1.0-239.

Can i upgrade directly to that version, because in the 14.1.0 release notes my sma osversion is not listed but in the webgui it seem i can directly upgrade to version 14.1.0-239 ?

Thanks

yes, you can directly upgrade, you SMA upgrade directly you to what version you can upgrade easy way, Make sure your WSA is compatible with that version before upgrading SMA, if that is not compatible, then you need to upgrade your WSA also to a compatible version, and add to config master.

As per i know they also available locally in ESA, when the SMA available eventually they sync with SMA.

read the release notes (if nay caveats mentioned there)

why in the release notes i cannot find 13.6.2-058 as a starting point to uprade to version 14.1.0-239, but in the web gui i can see options to upgrade to version 14.1.0-239 from version 13.6.2-058.

Which one should i follow cisco release notes or web gui ?

Thanks

Most of the documents of Cisco some time not accurate, they get better and better nowadays.

If I were you I follow  GUI suggestions (if you have concerns contact TAC).

as a rule, I have always mentioned :

1. take the config backup out of the box

2. upgrade as suggested.

3. Monitor after upgrade

4. any major issue encountered contact TAC immediately.
