Firepower 8350

I have a Firepower 8350 that has been giving me and my colleagues a huge headache.

The device is unreachable from FTD and I am trying to recover it from an .iso file.

Is there a way to run a restore .iso from a Windows FTP server? I was able to get it downloaded and start the process but as soon as it begins I get "could not mount /dev/sda1".

Do I need to create a directory? Or has anyone else ran into this issue?

You need to explain more, you are doing re-image whole chassis or one of the instances you loading/re-imaging  FTD?

Apologies, I am trying to use a recovery .iso file.

When I download the file from the config menu and try to install it, it
shows me that error.

This is after I select the FTP server, download the iso and then try to
install it.

This is all through the blue Cisco configuration menu.

This is the device I am working with.

For the 8000 series devices. I get all the way to Downloading the ISO and
Update Files and Mounting the Image

In the article it says there should be a download and mount option but
there is only download.

When I try to run the install after downloading I get the error from my
original post.

If you cannot mount the device after successfully downloading the iso, you may have a bad hard disk drive.

These are past end of sales but if you have a support contract you can still get TAC to look into it and issue and RMA if needed.
