Firepower 9300 Virtual FTD backup

Hello,

I spent some time to locate the documentation for backup/restore in Firepower 9300 managed FTD modules.

I have found the one that talks about FTD modules in Firepower appliance 7000 & 8000: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/621/configuration/guide/fpmc-config-guide-v621/backup_and_restore.html

I don't believe the procedure is the same for 9300 appliance. I've done some testing and it seems like the FTD configurations are not backed up using FMC only.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Let me know

Ji-Won

You backup and restore the Firepower appliance settings from FX-OS. Tht includes the definitions of the deployed logical devices and their high level settings like image name, interface assignments etc.

FTD logical devices' policy and detailed configuration settings are configured exclusively via FMC and thus the backup there is most germane.
