FMC2500-Fiber 10GB ports Eth 2- Management ports

Dear Support,

We have FMC 2500 appliance where fiber card 10 GB is integrated.

we are trying to move the management copper port , to the fiber ports 10 GB.

however , if you go to system > configuration > management interfaces , you will only see eth0 (which is copper management) and eth1 (which is the second copper 2) only. you will not see eth2 (that should be fiber card).

it seems like the FMC appliance is not recognizing the fiber card , however if we plug fiber patch cord it will blink normally.

Kindly your support on how to enable these ports , since i need to use it as a management (FO) instead of copper management.

best regards,

While you might think and SFP+ that works with a UCS C series would work, that's not the case with FMC. You can only use one of the approved SFPs: FS2K-NIC-SFP/FS4K-NIC-SFP.

You should definitely be able to use eth2 and eth3 (the 10 Gbps SFP+interfaces) - just don't disable eth0.

What model of transceiver have you inserted?

Hi Marvin,

Indeed.this is what i want.

the SFPS are Cisco SR-S 10GB. they are blinking green on the FMC and switch side.

But my issue that the FMC is not recognizing it.
