FPR 2110 | ASA OS Upgrade

Hello,

We have a few FPR2110s and running the ASA code on them. I am planning to upgrade the ASA OS code from 9.8.2 to 9.8.4; however, when I issue the dir disk and dir flash commands at the asa cli the current os is not listed. Also, when I issue the "show running-config boot system" this command isn't available. I resorted to issuing "show boothvar" and the parameters didn't have any values.

My questions are, why is the OS not listed when issuing "dir disk" or "dir lash:"? Also, what is the ASA OS procedure when configured in FO when running the ASAs on the FPR2110s?

Thanks in advance,

~zK

You would use the Firepower Chassis Manager or FXOS CLI to upgrade an ASA OS running on the Firepower 2100. The procedure is given here:
