Trying to understand better when I should use object NAT vs Manual.

Hi

Manual nat can translate both source and destination. It can use network objects and network group objects.

Auto nat translate only source.
If you want to expose 1 server to the Internet for all ports or 1 port then Auto nat is the way to go as it's simpler to configure.
If you want to expose multiple ports (range of ports) for a server then manual nat is the way to go.

Thanks
Francesco
