Hello what are the steps to activate a new ASA 5506-X ?

Does the ASA need to be activated before you can start initial configuration?

You can do basic configuration and activate the license and start configuring advanced freatures.

Some feature may not be possible to configure with out proper license.

you need to register the license online portal, if any issue contact license team, they are very helpfull to fix any issue you encounter.
