Out of the blue AsA 5506-x just shot down and stop working after 2 years in service with the blink status light in amber condition.

Hi,
You firewall could be affected the "clock signal component failure" issue.

Talk to Cisco Tac and have it replaced.

First place, remove the power lead from Router.
Connect console cable, and insert the Power lead, post the output of the boot process to understand what is the issue?
