ASA 5510 - Speed 1000 - Port stops passing traffic

Hello,

So it's a 5510 with security plus. The "speed 1000" command is set on Eth 0/0 and eth 0/1

We lost power today, and until then everything worked fine.

no configuration was lost.

Now, if the speed isn't set to "auto" it won't communicate with the modem. Dead in the water?

Any idea?

Some code with version info and things below..

Reload?

Modem: ARRIS CM3200A

ISP: 1gbps download 50 mbps upload

Again, everything was completely fine until a power outage.

If I change the speed command back to auto, it links right up no problem. However, only get 100mbps, instead of 1gig.

As soon as I change speed to 1000, the status changes to down.

I have tried reloading the firewall, then rebooting the modem, etc

Still doesn't work..

When the power outage, is this device also rebooted ARRIS CM3200A.

when you set auto, what is the negotiation speed on ASA, is this 100 ? or 1000 ?

If it is 1000, then you need to contact Service provider any changes occurred due to power failure.

This is what i think on top of my head based on your inputs.

Yes ALL devices rebooted.

When speed = auto, the ASA negotiates at speed 100.

However, if I plug my computer directly into the modem. I get 1000mbps just fine.

When speed 1000 is configured on Eth0/0, just will not link up. completely down
