ASA 5585-X - need content filtering

Hello to all -

We are recommending an ASA 5585-X to a customer based on throughput requirements in their RFP.  I have never used this device, but see that it does not support the CSC-SSM.  We need to recommend a solution for anti-malware, anti-virus, etc.  What is the proper or recommended solution for this level of firewall?  Do we need to go to the Ironport products for this type of service?  Any third-party recommendations?  Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are correct, ASA5585-X does not support CSC module.

For anti malware, anti spyware and web filtering capabilities, you can either use Cisco Ironport WSA appliance, OR you can also opt to go for Cisco ScanSafe cloud solution. Both solution provides anti malware, anti spyware and web filtering capabilities.
