ASA ASDM Firepower tab vanished

We have been running the firepower services and successfully applying rules. A few days ago I logged onto the 5508-x and the Firepower configuration tab wasnt there. The firepower dashboard and status tabs are still there and working (Status UP) and I can ping the interface.

ASDM ver is 7.9, ASA is 9.9 and Firepower is now 6.0. It was lower, but I reinstalled via the CLI as per this post, however we had no issues while it was running 5.4.

How do we resolve this?

I cannot confirm if this will solve your issue but you need at least Firepower 6.1.0 version to be compatible with ASA 9.9(x). You can look at the below compatibility chart for confirmation:

Is it ok to upgrade to 6.2 from 6.0 using these same cli commands?

No, you cannot directly upgrade. A direct upgrade has only been started from 6.2.3 in which you can directly upgrade from 6.1.x+ version directly to this version. Prior to this, it is a step-by-step upgrade from one major train to other major train.

Upgraded to 6.1.0 and works. Not sure how its been working for the last few months running 5.4

I really don't know how ASA 9.9.x with 5.4 was working on your end.

Glad it worked after upgrade.

Cheers!
