ASA CX Upgrade

I have Customer with ASA 9.2(4) & CX 9.2(1)4.

I wanted to upgrade to CX 9.3(4.1).

CX is managed by On box Prism/Single Device Mode.

After reading document , I am confused .

Two Questions:

1 Do I need to upgrade PRSM first & than CX. ( I know this is the case with Multiple device Mode)

2 When I am trying to download the image, I see CX Boot image & pkg . Upgrading just require *.pkg . When you upgrade using *.pkg does it automatically update the Boot image.

Hi Viral,

When using on-box PRSM, the PRSM and CX code is integrated - so no separate process.

The pkg upgrade file won't automatically install a new boot image.

But that's OK since the boot image is only required during initial imaging of the CX module.
