ASA Security context licenses

On a 5545-x, we have a 50-context license. Currently, we show that we are at 50 contexts but this includes the admin context. SHould I be able to add another another context or does the admin context max this out?

Hello Jeremy,

The admin context is counted as first one meaning that you are not going to be able to add more context. Remember that the admin context is like any other context just with admin rights.

hi,

if you have 50 security context license installed, then you got 1x admin context (by default) and 49x remaining contexts.

once you're in the admin context, do a changeto system and issue a show context to see how many security contexts or 'virtual' firewalls are currently created on the ASA.
