I would like to purchase ASA5516-FPWR-K9 without IPS,URL and AMP. Can i just run this model just as a firewall without having to purchase extra licenses?
Yes, you can. It's just not a NGFW any more. But I would not buy the legacy 5500-X ASAs any more. A Firepower 1000 will give you much more throughput for the same money.
