ASA5525 and PPPoE and active standby

I know that the 5525 cannot use pppoe when in multiple context mode . http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa90/configuration/guide/asa_90_cli_config/vpn_pppoe.html

However I have 2 data closets with a 5525 in each with Active/Standby config

What I really wanted was that if one closet went offline then the other 5525 would become active and dial the ISP. yes the ISP has confirmed that this can work.

However with no PPPOE option then I have to become more creative. Any ideas? if I leave it up to the ISP provided modem then it will take manual intervention to fireup the modem in the "good" data closet. I dont know of a modem solution that would have a heartbeat between them, or maybe a small switch in front of the firewall? Clutching at straws at the moment.
