Important:  These images were not fully regression tested.  Each individual fix was unit tested, and the image has had a limited amount of automated regression testing to confirm a baseline of functionality.  Keep this testing status in mind if you decide to run them in a production environment.  We strongly encourage you to upgrade to a fully tested Maintenance or Feature release when it becomes available.

            Ok, I can live with that, but why are the interim releases gold-starred then ?

Although not fully regression tested, these releases can show up to be more stable (have less TAC cases) then the others. And there are often very important bugfixes (also security-related) only in the interims-releases without that a new Maintenance release is published.

For the stability, don't expect that they are always stable. Not long ago there wer star-releleases that had massive problems with VPNs.

But from my experience of the last years, it's the right way to try to go to the last interims-releases that are available.
