After working just fine for several months my ASDM can no longer display syslog messages on the home page, or the monitoring page. No software updates have occurred - it just stopped working.

Hello John,
May i know the ASA code and ASDM version you are running. At initial look this seems to be the issue filled with bug id : CSCsm11264. (NOTE: you will need to login with your Cisco Connection Online "CCO" credentials to access).
If the problem is triggered by the syslog 304001(as per bug CSCm11264) which displays the URL that a user accesses. By
disabling logging of this syslog, the problem can be mitigated. The command to do this is:
ASA(config)#no logging message 304001
Please let me know if this resolved the issue.
Regards,
Chirag

ASA(config)#no logging message 304003
ASA(config)#no logging message 304004
ASA(config)#no logging message 304005
This should resolve the issue.

Those messages are already off.

Sorry. But the reason those messages were off is because all messages had been turned off. Once I turned them back on, everything was restored. Sorry for the false alarm.

ASA is running 8.0(4). ASDM is 6.3(1).
