BGP Maximum-Prefix Feature

Hi,

Using BGP Maximum-Prefix Feature I can controlland generate a warning If my router is receiving high number of prefix than configured.

Is there any way to do reverse?

I mean to generate a warning message if my router is advertising X number of prefix then generate a warning ?

Like my BGP neighbor has 100 prefix limit configured, and if i advertise more than 100 prefix they drop my session, so I want to know on my end some warning in my router that alert me if I am approaching to 100 prefix advertised towards my neighbor :) instead of they silently dropping my BGP .

Any suggestions or workaround will be appreciated other than adding individual permit in prefix list for allowed prefixes.

Thank you all.

maybe a TCL or EEM sript can accomplish this, if you can find out how tho extract a lenght value out of a list of advertised prefixes/routes.

A TCL script can definitely send an email notification,
