CISCO ASA 5500 Advanced Endpoint Assessment License for SSL VPN

Hi Team,

My costumer has an ASA 5520 and asked me for the Advanced Endpoint Assessement licenses.

So the L-ASA-ADV-END-SEC=

My question is:

Is  that a Per device license or a per user license?

And if you have some doc on it would be great.

Advanced Endpoint Assessment (AEA) is a per-ASA license. If you have an HA pair and ASA software 8.3+ you only need a single license for the pair.

It requires AnyConnect Premium as a prerequisite and will enable the AEA feature for as many users as are licensed by the Premium license.

AnyConnect Premium and AEA (and other licenses) are being deprecated in favor of the new AnyConnect Apex. The last day to order them is August 31 2015. Reference the EoX notice.

AnyConnect Apex does not require a separate AEA license (nor Anyconnect for Mobile)
