Solved: Re: Cisco ASA - Deployment failed

Hey dearest community!

I have a problem with deploying any changes to my ASA 5508-X running FTD 6.4.0.1. I found out already how to create and display the deployment log (exper, sudo su, pigtail deploy).

It is failing with any changes, regardless what I try. The deployment always fails and I do not know how to get out of this situation without consulting you experts!

What can I do?

UPDATE - SOLVED: With TAC Team we found out that there was an internal remote access user migrated from an older version which was not migrated correctly. after recreating (in this case just deleting) the user, the issue was gone. Thanks to TAC team for their help!

hmmm, I am totally confused actually. Ten minutes ago, the changes where deployed by theirsef without invoking a new deployment.
What I tried is to schedule updates for Rules, VDB and the Security Intelligence Feeds. Now there are no changes to deploy and the failed changes where deployed successfully.
Maybe I workarounded it with a stupid guess that those action could help me. crazy. Here is the task log:

as you see the failed deployment was not followed by a manual successfull deployment. It seems that the automatic deployment of VDB/Rule did the trick.

Anyway. There is a bug anywhere that Cisco could find and fix with this hint.

I tried to apply the latest update, in the hope this helps, but I cannot apply it until the outstanding deployments are apllied. I cannot undo these deployment actions, as these seems to be internal tasks like snort version changes...

What can I do? Any idea?

UPDATE - SOLVED: With TAC Team we found out that there was an internal remote access user migrated from an older version which was not migrated correctly. after recreating (in this case just deleting) the user, the issue was gone. Thanks to TAC team for their help!

Hey Cisco fixed it in a hands-on session. Something was not well upgraded and I needed to remove and readd a configuration. It is long time ago and can't remember ist clearly. Maybe the realm or a user or something like that.

so you give a hand to TAC team accessing your ASA and fixed the issue?! did they fixed it already ?

because actually i dont wanna go to upgrade patch version because even i cant take backup from ASA to restore it if they go to upgrading option!!
