Configure DNS in CX Module

Hi Guys,

Good Day!

I would like to ask, how can I configure DNS settings in CX CLI without entering the "setup" command?

Thanks.

No - changing the DNS server(s) or domain name using "setup" on a CX module does not require a reboot.

I just verified on one of mine by running through the process and adding a DNS server. The change applied and started working immediately without reboot required.

cx>setup

CAUTION:
You have selected IPv6 stateless autoconfiguration, which assigns a global address
based on network prefix and a device identifier. Although this address is unlikely
to change, if it does change, the system will stop functioning correctly.
We suggest you use static addressing instead.

You cannot. The setup command is the only supported way you can change the DNS server on a CX module.

Hi Marvin,

Good Day!

Thanks for the feedback.

This will cause reboot in the CX module right?

Thanks

No - changing the DNS server(s) or domain name using "setup" on a CX module does not require a reboot.
