                             when we are configuring ASA 5510 8.2(5) for Authenticating with ACS 5.X Server is not authentication fail error.

What error are you getting, what kind of connection are you attempting to authenticate

i would suggest to check on below points.

can you reach the ACS server from the firewall on the required ports(TACACS/RADIUS)?

is the key matching on both sides?

is the request from firewall going from same source ip as configured in ACS?
