I have been asked to see if there is a way to configure an IPS alert that fires when a particular IP address is the source IP address for the traffic. It shouldn't block the traffic, just write an alert to the IPS report. Also, if possible, have it rate limit it, as in only have it fire every 5 minutes rather than for every packet.
If this is possible, a description of the process or a link to appropriate documentation would be greatly appreciated!
