Hi Folks,
I want to install in my environment 2 devices (1 active and one in standby) that will act as VPN hubs.
I believe that 2 Cisco Routers 2911 will suffice for this.
My questions are:
-What license do I need to apply to get the maximum IPSEC traffic throughput?
-Is it necessary to install a hardware encryption module for maximum performance IPSEC?

Hi edilson.silva1,
-What license do I need to apply to get the maximum IPSEC traffic throughput? By default the devices come with a throughput limitation of 85-Mbs since this is enforced by the US government. The HSEC license removed this limitation:
-Is it necessary to install a hardware encryption module for maximum performance IPSEC? The 2911 comes with an embedded Hardware-Based Cryptography and Acceleration:
Hope this info helps!!

Thanks a lot JP!
one last doubt: Is there a hardware that offer a better performance than the native hardware encryption acceleration already installed?
