Hi,

Can somebody tell me how to downgrade the FWSM module on CAT 6500 from 3.1 to 2.3 version?

Regards

Sebastian

Re: FWSM 3.1 downgrade

FWSM uses 'copy' command to load any new code or ASDM:

Copying (upgrade/downgrade) OS:

hostname# copy tftp://209.165.200.226/cisco/c6svc-fwm-k9.2-1-1.bin flash:

Copying/loading ASDM:

hostname(config)# copy tftp://10.7.0.80/asdm700.bin flash:asdm

You need to have a TFTP server, have the older (or new version) image ready in the designated folder and make sure network connectivity working.

Assign the port you used to connect your PC to Inside interface IP of FWSM inside segment. GW should point to Inside interface IP.

PIX uses 'downgrade' to downgrade OS version:
