I am looking for suggestions on how to determin the application usage thru my firewall and my Internet connection. Since so many of the users applications such as video, IM, and radio all seem to tunnel over port 80 and other well known ports what are good ways to dig deeper into these traffic streams to determine the percent of link utilization of video vs. standard html? I have read about various application firewalls that look like they do this better but was wondering what members of the cisco community are doing to get this visability and/or control.
