There  may be something wrong with the firepower because the physical port is not active when connected directly. I'm going to restore the firepower. But it cannot be restore in the firepower command.

How can I exit the firepwer os?

hi,

use Ctrl+Shift+6+x

use Ctrl+Shift+6+x

or more general, use the Escape-sequence which could be different when your terminal is not on Windows. On my Mac it's Ctrl-^+x

I tried but it is only display the below , not conveting.

> ~30x
  ^
configure  Change to Configuration mode
end        Return to the default mode
exit       Exit this CLI session
expert     Invoke a shell
help       Display an overview of the CLI syntax
history    Display the current session's command line history
logout     Logout of the current CLI session
show       Change to Show Mode
system     Change to System Mode

any mistake I made?

If Ctrl-^+x means on Windows control key, plus shift key, plus x key all at once, it didn't work for me. I'm frequently getting trapped in the firepower module unable to return the ASA without power cycling it.

I also occasionally have a problem exiting the firepower module and returning to the ASA.

The available commands exit and logout did not help.

The device it self says:

Connected to module sfr. Escape character sequence is 'CTRL-^X'.

I tried this (interpreting it to mean control plus shift key plus x key).

The control plus shift plus 6 plus x sequence also does not work

I found that I could simply unplug the ASA and it reboots into ASA mode, but that isn't very helpful if you need to go back and forth between modes configuring.

I hope someone can find a solution to how to move from the firepower module back to the ASA.

Hi,

first ctrl+shift+6 (press same time) and the second step is to press x. don't press all 4 keys same time.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck
