How many Firepower Services in an ASA cluster are needed?

We have two ASA 5525 machines in a cluster. Do we need to purchase one or two Firepower services, since the secondary ASA comes only into play as a backup, that means, they are never active at the same time.

You will need to buy two, if you expect the traffic to be inspected by Firepower in case of a failover event.

If you only want to inspect on the primary and only have ASA with no firepower on the secondary one, that is up to you. :)
