I would like to migrate ASA 5520 Version 9.1(7)23 to ASA 5525x 9.9.2(40)

Hi,

I would like to migrate ASA 5520 Version 9.1(7)23 to ASA 5525x 9.9.2. New ASA 5525x has a Firepower but I don't want to use Firepower.

Can someone please help me with the procedure to do this migration.

well. two different box only running the different version. there is no big change in 9.1 to 9.9 in regards to NAT.

you can copy the config from the exisiting box and put them in new box. it will work.

Thank you so much for your time and always been providing excellent information. I want to know, can I do it by taking a complete config backup from OLD box through ASDM and upload to the new box without doing a manual copy and paste?

Also, there is Firepower on new 5525x but I don't want to use it. So how I can disable it?

yes you can do that.

in regards to sfr if you not using give a command on the cli.

sw-module module sfr shutdown
