Hi team,

I am having an issue with the syslog configuration of those appliances below:

- ASA-5510,  Software Version 9.1(5)

- Device Manager Version 7.3(2)

The issue is:

Syslog configuration

After clicking OK, the result appears with TCP, not UDP

From CLI, show run logging shows the output: logging host SERVER 10.104.4.21

And the syslog server does not receive any log record from ASA. We are sure that syslog server works properly.

Kindly help to advise on that issue, is there any bug with these OS?

Highly appreciate for any quick response. thanks in advance.

Br,

hainm

Hi,

Have you tried deleting the entry and re-creating via the cli ?

Thanks

John

Hi,

if you getting that CLI output, that means it is correctly applied with UDP. for ex, below 2 lines shows UDP and TCP output to verify. glitch can be a issue with ASDM. try update ASDM version. (check ASDM and ASA OS compatibility before upgrade)

logging host LAN 192.168.1.2              --- UDP output
logging host LAN 192.168.1.3 6/1470  --- TCP output
