hey all

i need some expert opinions from the good experienced folks on here

How do u guys think an asa will behave if loging monitor and logging console are left on and the memory capacity reaches limit...assume the asas in failover..

will all the connections drop without failing over ? will the asa freeze and restart? will the active stay active and the memory caps and clears out automatically..

please advise ...

Hi,

I think the logging monitor would be not that impacting on the ASA device and on the other features on the ASA device.

On the Other hand , logging console is impacting on the logging function and is only recommended when troubleshooting on the ASA device.

Otherwise it is recommended to be turned off.

These would only be harmful if they are set to a high severity level and too many logs are being generated.

Thanks and Regards,
