Hi.
I update my cisco ASA 5508-X recently to ASDM 7.8(2) and ASA to 9.8(2), since then i cannot access to:
Monitoring > Logging > Real-Time Log Viewer
When i click in the button "View...", nothing happens.
In my other cisco ASA 5508-X with ASDM 7.6(2) and ASA 9.6(2) it works.
In ASDM 7.8.X documentation didn't saw any open bugs referring to this subject, does this happen to somebody else?
Thank you

Hi,
Did you find a fix for this?

I'm seeing the same thing. If I instead choose the log buffer I can refresh that and see the messages updated there.
I suspect a bug that's not public-facing just yet. Open a TAC case to get your voice in the chorus to put pressure on getting it fixed.

The same thing with my firewalls.

I opened a TAC Case, aparently they are working out on it, but without a release date.

Thanks for fast reply. It says status: Fixed and recommends to upgrade to 7.8(3.6) but I don't see this release in Software Download page, latest is still 7.8.2.

Marvin is right, there is a bug already for it:

We will need to wait for the definitive fixed version.

I have this problem as well.
Does anyone know if there is a way to pipe the log matching an ACE to a text file in the meantime?
Thanks,
Jordan

I ended up downgrading to 7.71 to workaround the issue. copy the file to disk0: then run command asdm image disk0:/asdm-771-151.bin. That should get you through till cisco release the update to fix the bug.

Thanks for the idea. I actually downgraded to ASDM 7.8(1) with my ASA running 7.8(2).
ASDM appears to be running fine even though I didn't see any documentation that it would be supported.
I am able to use the real-time log viewer again.
