PIX 515 7.2(1) can't assign ip address to interface

Hi, all

Has anyone used the PIX 515 with PIX Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(1)?
It seems not to accept the command ip address for ethernet interface when I am in the config-int mode.

After that, I go into the monitor mode and upgrade the IOS. But it still can't assign ip address in the config-int mode.

Does anyone encounter the same problem? Thanks.

Your ASA seems to be in multiple config mode. There the interfaces are configured differently. Try to switch back with the "mode" command.

Thanks for Karsten, I think the PIX 515's software version is too old.

Anyway, when I change the mode form multiple to single, it work.
