Planning to buy ASA 5508-X

I am planning to buy ASA 5508-X. But i don't need firepower. everywhere i see ASA 5508-X with firepower.

My question is " Can i buy this model without firepower and what would be the difference in cost?

Just buy it without any Firepower licenses and there's no extra cost.

The SSD is built into that model whether or not you use Firepower so the hardware is the same either way.

Unless and until you add a service policy for Firepower inspection and license the module, there's no impact at all of the traffic flow through the box due to the unlicensed Firepower software module being installed by default.

You can uninstall the software module if it gives you peace of mind; but it's not necessary to do so.
