We have an ASA 5510 and i successfully upgraded to 8.2 from 8.0
i also upgraded the ASDM from 6.1 to 7.1
i managed to connect to the ASA from the ASDM only once, every other time i try and connect to the ASDM it reached 17% then hangs for around 2 inutes then errors with the error 'ASDM was unable to load the firewall's configuration. Please check connectivity to the device or try again later'
i can connect via SSH without issue and pull up all details unit that is i try and show the running-config and it runs through the pages but stops at the line before the SNMP setting are listed, there are no issues showing the startup-config.
i have a feeling that the issue with the running-config is the reason for the ASDM failing.
any help appreciated.
