Rehost License ASA 5516 - RMA

Hi,

I requested an RMA for my Cisco ASA 5516, and in the next week i will replace my Firewall to the received ASA. My doubt are on "Rehost" License. 

On the portal, appears the option to "Rehost License", but asked the "License Key" of my Target Device. As my target device is new, they doesn't have a License Key, will only have after the Rehost Proccess completed.

What the correct procedure to Rehost License in this case?

if the cisco sends you an RMA device, the License should automatically be transferred to new device serial number.

easy to resolve contact license team they can resolve over the phone for you. i have done many that is the quickest way to resolve if we are confused.

Like @balaji.bandi said - the RMA procedure includes the licensing team generating a new license. They will do that for you as part of the case - you don't need to use the self-service portal.
