same vlan/segment on multiple ports in ASA5585x

Is there a way I can have 2 ports, say gi 0/0 and gi 0/1 on the same segment on the 5585?  Obviously, 1 of the interface will have an IP address while the other will not.  This is similar to interface vlan xx and assigning vlan to a port in the 5505.   I need to connect to hosts that are on the same subnet to the firewall and want to do it without using a switch.

Thanks!

Not really. Only the 5505 supported switchports.

All other ASA models can do things like redundant interfaces, Etherchannels, subinterfaces etc. But not switchports.

I think I understand what you're asking but the use case isn't apparent. You want to use a $100,000 firewall like a $500 switch?

Well, I have 30 ports on the firewall and only a couple was used.  So I have plenty of ports.  The devices that need to connect to firewall are in the next cabinet, while the switch is in a rack 2 rows away.
