I am going to test the ASA performance to see how much heavy load it can handle especially for vpn traffic.

The only command I knew are

show cpu

show memory

Is any other command I can use to check the performance?

Also, what's the recommend threshold for these parameters or what's the normal load - %

For example,

What's the acceptable average cpu load? 30%, 50% or even higer?

Many thanks

Why not use the ASDM and watch it in semi-realtime? The dashboards will show you all the important stats.

Thanks.

last time i had bad experience using ASDM it cause my asa reboot, not sure why probably lower version?? Also I think running ASDM will impact the asa performance as well, so I prefer use command first… But I will try ASDM too …

BTW, what's the acceptable cpu and memory load for asa?
