Show specific route on ASA 8.2

Hi All,

Maybe i'm asking a stupid question, but i'm used to ASA 9.x. On ASA 9.x you can enter the command "show route X.X.X.X" and it will show you exactly what route it it will take.

On ASA 8.2 (or maybe it's complete 8.x) you need to specify the interface, but even when i specify the correct interface and put a destination behind it, it will just show me the complete routing table. For example, i enter:

show route INSIDE 192.168.0.100

The output i get is the complete routing table.

What is the best way on 8.2 to just get the 1 route a destination will take? I'm dealing with massive routing tables so sometimes i could miss the right one by looking at the complete table.

If you use the same command but add in an include with the destination again at the end it should give you the route you are looking for.

show route INSIDE 192.168.0.100 | include 192.168.0.100
