Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade directly from 8.0(4) to 8.2(5) software in 5510. Is there be any workaround in regards to the config.

Thanks,

Hi Sal,

there is no much differences as far as 8.0(4) and 8.2(5) are concern, so you are safe to upgrade to 8.2(5) from 8.0(4).

Hope that answers your question.

thanks

It's no problem to do that upgrade directly. I've done it several times following Cisco's published upgrade procedure.

For a single unit just copy the new bin file to disk0:, change the boot image command, save config and reload. For an HA pair, follow this procedure.

In either case, be sure to update your ASDM to 6.4(7) while you're at it.
