Is it possible to have or setup VPC on an ASA?   even if you are doing routing on the ASA? i was looking through:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/design/vpc_design/vpc_best_practices_design_guide.pdf

anyone that has some experience with this i would appreciate it.

Hello,

Yeah, it does.

In fact in the link you provide us you have all the details:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/design/vpc_design/vpc_best_practices_design_guide.pdf

As you know you must be running a version higher than 8.4 so you can use LACP

Hi,

To my understanding on the ASA side you simply configure a Port-channel. The actual physical links of the ASA are connected to different Nexus devices.

Our Active/Active ASA pair for example is connected to pair of Nexus5k on both datacenters.

I think the document you link actually has a section in it for ASA configurations also in Routed mode.

i heard that when and if dynamic routing is happening then it will create an issue. this is why i am a bit confuse as everything seems to say that you can.
