X.509 cert SSL ASA5500

Phil Williamson

Does changing the public IP on my ASA invalidate its x.509 cert?

I believe not since "show crypto ca certificate" does not show any IP, but the CN as hostname.domain-name of the ASA instead.

Thx

Phil

You are right, if hostname is used in the cert, the ip does not interfere.

I hope it helps.
