Hi

ISE upgrade is failing after 40 percent for an ISE node. All the prerequisite checks were done before upgrade but the upgrade failed.

Thanks,

Aravind.

The obvious answer would be to engage TAC, they would be able to help you troubleshoot this far better than we will via forum posts.

Can you provide us with more details of your environment?  How many nodes, what version are you moving from/to, is this the first node or another node mid upgrade, did the secondary admin node already complete the upgrade?

If the secondary admin node already completed the upgrade then the easiest way forward is to just redeploy a new OVA / install from the ISO, and join it to the upgraded deployment.

There is a partial FAQ for failed upgrades.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-4/upgrade_guide/b_ise_upgrade_guide_24/b_ise_upgrade_guide_24_chapter_0101.pdf

So it is exactly failing at "Data upgrade step 1/43". We downloaded the urt logs. What does that mean?

Thanks,

Aravind

It is a four node ISE deployment. We have a Primary Admin and Monitoring; a secondary admin and monitoring. We have two PSNs in the cluster.
