ISE upgrade from 2.2 to 2.4

Hello,

A total of 4 ISE nodes based on four virtual appliances SNS-3415-K9 are deployed in our environment. Out of which, two nodes are Admin and monitoring nodes and two nodes are PSN nodes. The ISE VM appliance has 16GB RAM and 600GB hard disk.

Currently in the environment we are running ISE 2.2 with Patch 9. With the above mentioned specifications would we be able to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.4.

Thanks,

Aravind.

Per the release notes on 2.4, the appliances you have are not supported.

I would recommend getting the 36xx appliances and evaluating ISE 2.6 to start. In a few months likely that will be our new long term release.

Thank you for your response. Would we be able to change the VM settings of 3415 and make it 35xx series or 36xx series?

Yes, would recommend build new PSNs and node and add them and turn down old ones
